Saturday morning 10am...
Equipment - Starboard Big Easy12ft, Wiskeyjack wood paddle, Leash (can't swim!), summersuit, Booties & Beanie.
The plan - chill out paddle on the Grand Canal at Lucan.
Within 10 minutes, we, Paul and I were taking our paddle to a whole new level.
Instead of our planned chill out paddle, we had a 90-minute interval workout.
Work out comprised of both short sprints and longer distance endurance intervals.
Soon we combined the two:
*50m sprint followed by 200m endurance finish.
*200m endurance followed by 50m sprint finish.
All in all, it was clearly not the chill out paddle we had planned - it was better!
Looking forward to doing more interval work.
